COLORED BASSWOOD STRINGERS!

After almost 2 years of development, Summit has perfected a process that creates a uniform color within the wood that allows a shaper to add a punch of color without affecting the performance characteristics of the board.

Basswood, long preferred by shapers for it’s high strength/low weight properties as well as it’s ease of planing, can now be used in blanks in over 21 color combinations to add a new look and performance value to today’s blanks.

Available in 1/8” 3-ply in 14 stocking color combinations as well as 1/8” single strand in 7 colors up to 8’ in length.

The Tri-Band construction is revolutionary to the industry because for the first time an

ALL BASSWOOD UNIDIRECTIONAL T-Band is now available.  Until now, all plywood stringers available have been made from poplar, mahogany, Lauan, Obeche and other hardwoods that do not match up to the performance characteristics that basswood has long been coveted for.  Also- many plywood stringers are made from traditional plywood that contain plies that run perpendicular to the boards length, causing shaping problems such as tear out, digging, and fuzzy planning which can also cause glassing complications.
